ARDNAGRATH GREY

November  2009, Rigmarole returned to Ireland.  He has been such a success over here, producing many champions, it was felt he should go back to the Dunlewey stud where he was bred.   The exciting news is that another colt from the Dunlewey stud has now arrived at Biddesden.  He is called ARDNAGRATH GREY  he will be three in the spring of 2010.  His pedigree is below.  He will be standing at stud in 2010 at Biddesden, he has covered mares in Ireland and is already busy this year.

Dunlewey Rigmarole

Dunlewey Rigmarole stood at Biddesden stud for a number of years.  His sire  Stradbally Bill stood at Biddesden for a number of years.  He has now been sold and is back in Ireland.  Rigmarole is by Stradbally Bill.  His half sister also by Bill was champion at the National Breed show this year, photo below.

2009 foal by Rigmarole above he was born at the Connla Stud.

'Connla Stud' was started a few years ago by Lauren Ryan and family. The foundation mare, Rathcoona Cove  is by Moy Hazy Cove out of a Rathcoona mare who is by Westside Fred. She won the Reserve Broodmare Champion at the Eastern Connemara Show 2008.
She has produced 2 top class colts so far by Dunlewey Rigmarole.
The first of these is now a yearling, called 'Connla Realta Reatha' meaning shooting star in Gaelic, owing to the distinguishing marking on his forehead!
The second by Rigmarole, born 5th June 2009, has been named 'Connla Coinneach' meaning 'handsome' or finely made.

At Biddesden

We have many good ponies for sale, photos of the ponies can be seen at the link below.  Some of them are broken in and being ridden.

Pyrus 2005 14.1  This pony would show at county level.  At the BEF evaluations at Catherston this pony was awarded the highest marks for a 3 yr old in the eventing section.  He had the fourth highest marks of all the ponies entered across the country.   He was given 9.25 for temperament and also 9.25 for jump. 

Pyrus has now been sold to a very good competitive home.  We wish his owners good luck and hope to see him wining in next few years.  We now have his full brother Dunlewely Prunus at Biddesden.  He is Iron Grey .  He is a very good stamp and lovely temperament.

Catherston Roundabout

Catherston Roundabout is by Rigmarole.  She was awarded the top foal marks at this years BEF Evauluations. 

Snipe born 2004 gelding 13.3 Quiet ride has been hunter trialed.

Mullette born 2005 grey gelding 14.2 sturdy and quiet.
